Flowers have long had associations with certain qualities and roses are the ultimate symbol of love and friendship. I tied the floral imagery with beautiful folds of white drapery and found it gave a really pure feeling to the composition and therefore 'Fresh beginnings' seemed an appropriate title.

Oil paints are a wonderful medium to use because of the translucency and you can see the colours from the rest of the composition working within the shades and tints in the white drape.

The painting is sold as a diptych so the fluidity of the drapes are continued in both paintings. The images do continue on the side of the canvas and so there is no need to frame as the paintings are ready to hang, if however you want to frame I can advise in this
