From the clifftops of the Isle of Skye, I watched a massive storm cloud sweep across the sea, its dark form illuminated by streaks of golden sunlight. Freya’s Stormsong captures that dramatic moment—where light and shadow collide in a surreal impressionist scene. Freya, the Norse goddess of love, beauty, and war, is renowned for her wisdom, strength, and magical powers, often depicted as a fierce yet compassionate figure who governs both life and death.

The black and gold tones give the storm a mythical presence, as if the Norse goddess herself had stirred the skies. This is nature at its most powerful—wild, fleeting, and unforgettable.

I use a combination of techniques—long exposure, intentional camera movement, and post-processing—to create my signature style. Working in remote locations, I refine each image to reflect the intensity and atmosphere I experience, bringing out the depth, movement, and mood that make these places so powerful.

About My Work
I am passionate about luxury papers/canvases that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special large prints of my work I use beautiful museum quality Canvas and the highest quality inks. I do all my own printing, having spent years learning this skill I prefer to maintain control of the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image.

A Note on Canvases
Printed at 56 x 90 inches with 2 inches of white border for handling. Also available in smaller sizes.

FRAMING
There are two options, either have the canvas stretched over a simple wooden frame or float frame with frame to match the colours in the image.
