This painting delves into the internal order within the nation. Amidst the events of today, I am deeply affected by the actions of the state system, specifically the closure of borders during wartime. No one and nothing should dictate the lives of people; restrictions lead to rebellion, discontent, and constant reflection on whether the state's actions are justified. The state, chosen to serve on behalf of the people, crudely and groundlessly violates our rights. In this painting, we see only faces, devoid of bodies, their facial features blurred. I believe it's easy to interpret oneself onto these faces.
Finding oneself within the circle of restrictions feels like a conditional fiction and an urging to abide by laws. However, those who enforce the borders become like walls, seeking out dissenters. During wartime, life is valued differently, and most people want to preserve it, which is understandable. But why does the state impose boundaries on individuals?
