It was hot, hot, hot in Bozeman this June of 2021. We set up our easels at the edge of an aspen tree grove for some shade. I painted two scenes from this spot at Graf Park, the other looking out onto the edge of Bird Springs Creek. These two comprise the first in my Bozeman series. They’re both heady with blue shade and sunny, toasty yellow. Sparks of playful light dots dance on lime colored grass along with red and orange wild flowers. They create a lush groundcover over which the arching aspen bow, providing the gentle shushing leaf sounds and the shade we so enjoy.

This work is stretched and prewired and ready to enrich your space.  It is mounted on 1-1/2" deep museum stretcher bars which are painted as 3D extensions of the main image
