This is a large painting (100 x 80 cm) created with oil paints, palette knives and brushes on a high quality stretched canvas. The butterflies are collage and the edges are also painted so that the painting can hang on the wall as it is and does not need framing. A floating frame would also look good. The painting was inspired by my many coastal walks, mainly in Devon and Cornwall. I love wild flowers and have endeavoured to capture the joy they bring on a Spring or Summer's day by the sea.
