I love drawing with a brush. This was a twenty minute pose so all I had time for was the absolute minimum of brushwork, using Indigo and Alizarin Crimson and my favourite sable brush. I strive to achieve an image that looks as though it arrived with the minimum of effort - but to do that successfully requires the maximum of concentration and many years of experience.
