Fragment of something bigger
It is based on the previous visual and emotional experience of a person, on the complex of basic knowledge that we use in our daily life without thinking - "by default".
A main characteristic in the project "Fragment of something greater" is a search for a strong, characteristic, memorable universal visual image, realized with the classical means and materials of monumental sculpture.
There are two main opposing concepts of shaping in the works, based on the cube and the sphere. In the project, they are combined to form two types of space: interior and exterior space
The sculpture is composed of an oval shape that forms the volume and the external silhouette, as well as the specific rhythm of the work.
Invisible openwork spaces are surrounded by perpendicular walls, edges and corners that rise inside the material. They are filtered through the prism of the "mathematical" formula based on the three spatial planes that make up physical space. At the same time, they are based on principles with which architecture works: vertical - horizontal, inside - outside, etc., principles that are found in the basic knowledge of a person's consciousness.
The project contains a series of independent monumental and easel works (already more than 50).
The project exists and develops over a long period of time (already 10 years).
It is physically located in more than 30 countries.
Most of the works were realized in various competitions as a result of the work of a professional jury specially formed by the specific organizers in the respective countries.
Some of the apparitions are the result of a personal invitation to realization. As well as as part of the author's creative initiatives.
