This photo was taken with infrared film during my 2014 motorcycle trip in Thailand. In the infrared spectrum of rays, all plants (due to the content of chlorophyll in them) otherwise transmit light. And they seem in the picture as if in the snow. But snow never happens in the tropics.
The photo was taken in Bangkok, the overlay of frames was also done mechanically on film (photoshop was not used). I love this combination of the latest technology and tropical plants. Real urban jungle.
As an artist, I work with the polysemy of the concept of "migration", I am looking for new facets of a multicultural and multiethnic world community.
Dynamic perception, rejection of settled life, migration - in my artistic practice, these are tools for the "mental map" re-actualization, a way to see more clearly, dropping again and again the automaticity of perception. Nomadism as an instrument of cognition and estrangement, a hormone of fresh perception, transferred to the field of art, allows you to leave room for a miracle, for the manifestation of life itself.
photo printed on paper Hahnemühle Photo Rag Metallic.
Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Metallic is a newly developed paper for FineArt prints. It has a very special surface coating that looks like crystallized silver. It does not contain optical brightening materials. It guarantees an impressive print result with its cotton-based structure, natural white color and understated metallic surface. With its unique silver metallic effect, it highlights the artistic details in the works sent to print. In addition to the metallic sections and macro details in the images, it gives sparkling results in art reproductions and high contrast black and white works. This acid and lignin-free paper ensures that your prints retain their original colors for years. Produced in ISO 9706 standard, Hahnemühle Photo Rag Metallic is recommended for museum quality prints thanks to its maximum resistance to fading.
It is also possible to print in other sizes, write to me if this is relevant for you.
The painting is carefully packed and will be delivered to you by international courier service within 4-7 days, depending on your destination.
