This plant has a brown, rough bulb, which one would not expect to see growing into an amazing flower that enchants people with its beauty.
Brown and rough, unpleasant at first glance bulb, getting into the soil, begins to develop. The sprout, breaking its way through the clods of earth from the cold and gloom of the earth, reaches for the sun, subsequently giving the world a beautiful flower.
This happens because, at the call of God, under the influence of the gracious rain and the warmth of the sun, the life hidden in the lily bulb, overcoming all obstacles, forms a sprout, stem, leaves and buds, and then the buds turn into amazing flowers of marvellous beauty, enchanting the world with their charm and fragrance.
In the same way, man is like the lily, whose soul is awakened by the influence of divine grace, like the lily.
Divine grace, like the sun and rain, descending both on the individual lily (representing the individual person) and on all the surrounding nature (representing the world of men...).
Such is the allegory between the lily and the human soul!
