Original artwork description:

Models have to be able to evoke a mood as well as pose. This was James showing his fragility. A foetal curl. Legs not tightly drawn up, but arms very tightly crossed under his bowed head. His stomach creasing as he pulled himself into a smaller ball of flesh.

White, umber and black conte pastel on blue sugar paper 42 x 30 cm (c. 16 x 12 "). It will either be rolled for delivery (glassine inside to protect the drawing) or wrapped in glassine and sandwiched in cardboard depending on where it is being sent to.

Mounting/Mat Suggestion: An image is included of how the piece could look if float-mounted or put behind mountboard(s) [in the US known as mats] before framing.

On the verso there is another pastel drawing of James sitting reading with his right foot up on top of his left leg. This does not show through. This is shown in the photographs in this gallery so you don't have a surprise on receipt of the piece.
