ABOUT THIS ARTWORK INTRO:
Foxy2 is one of eight original Lino-cuts from the series “Lino Divas2” Lino Divas2 was, and still is an original series of eight individual Lino-cuts(hand made relief prints) of Pop-art style women (divas). This project was my second stab at using the “Lino Cut” technique as a form of printmaking. These print pressings are a stark contrast from my usual ethereal and intricate line etchings, and even my watercolours and oils both figurative and fantasy. Lino Divas1 celebrates psychedelia in a different way to my fantasy etchings and watercolours, and possesses a retro Pop-Art edginess rare in much of my work.

MY INTENTION BEHIND LINO DIVAS2 was to create a three dimensional effect using complimentary colours - an exploration of blocks of vibrant colour against a complimentary colour background whereby certain colours recede and others "leap out at you". To achieve this (for each individual diva image - see "Artworks), I chose the method of "Lino-Cut" (relieve printing) then, instead of paper, chose to print each diva onto layers of clear and colour acetate. The result is exceptional. The combination of the bold colour superimposed onto layer upon layer of shimmery acetate creates a particularly three dimensional effect, rather like that of a hologram!

HOW TO FRAME & DISPLAY
The most suitable (if not only) types of frames or mounts for these transparent perspex lino-cut pressings are A3 size Acrylic Wall Picture Frame Magnetic Closure with fixings, or A3 Plastic Clip Frames for wall mounting (£2.69 each) from "The Office Supplies Super Market", "Heals" or "Habitat". Just search online.

When displaying each original Lino Diva in its boarder-less magnetic mount, you may create your own wall montage by placing each diva next to the other.
