Portrait of an Alaska Red Fox.
As a professional Wildlife photographer and artist, I am constantly in the field photographing Alaska landscape and wildlife, and when not in the field, I'm in the studio painting. I have started a new Alaska Wildlife painting series, and this portrait of a beautiful Alaska Red Fox is my first painting in this series. I love the warm beautiful reddish coat of the fox, and the large intelligent eyes. When painting wildlife, I always begin with the eyes, and only when they are perfect do I move to the rest of the painting. The eyes are the heart and soul of each animal, and if the eyes are not painted correctly, the painting will fail.
