Original Edition of 25
Total edition size = 150
"Fountains Abbey Cloisters" was taken from just inside one of the Western arch doorways looking South towards the river Skell end of the structure. The scene was captured using a wide angle lens over three different images which have been stitched together to enable a large area of the interior to be collected in a single image. The image has also been given a monochromatic treatment which enables the detail and texture of the ornate stonework to be enhanced and taken in without distraction. This is one of the largest and best preserved 12th Century Cistercian Monasteries in England which is why it is also protected as a UNESCO world heritage site.
