In this painting I used the female form worked in sun colours of bright reds, orange, gold and yellow.
They are the metaphors for the bright side of life.
The shade is in deep red/ purples to contrast with the sun colours.
They symbolize the shadows or downside of life.
My inspiration came from an amazing view of the sun, photographed by Alan Friedman, amateur astronomer from Buffalo, New York. This photo started me on a journey, painting sun inspired pictures!
This work has not been exhibited.
Acrylic paints. On 240 gsm cartridge paper.
