A face, a memory, forever ...
This image could relate to family, ancestry, remembrance as well as love.

In this large pastel drawing I've concentrated on the idea of feeling and memory.
It could be two different people at different points in time or one person in her future. I deliberately kept the left darker profile ambiguous so it is open to interpretation if it is male or female. I like the idea that the viewer will bring to the image what he or she wishes.

The little shape that is her earring signifies Eternity - it is a little *Lamniscus, and it also that floats around emanating from her glowing heart across to the other figure in a loose connecting curve.

*A lamniscus (Greek for ribbon or band ) is a bundle of secondary sensory fibres in the brain-stem.

I have used quality Rembrandt or Sennelier pastels on Somerset 300gsm paper with a deckled edge.
All my pastels are sprayed lightly with Fixative to protect the pastel.
Please note that upon framing any pastel, it should be kept from touching the glass within the frame.

The drawing is wrapped in acid-free tissue, packaged carefully and sent by Tracked Courier with a Certificate of Authenticity.
