50cm x 50cm x 2cm Original abstract painting on stretched canvas

I wanted to create a fragmented geometric field of pure colour, built up in layers of varying tonal intensity and warmth with subtle gradations giving way to accents of blue and warm yellow. The final work evokes reflective surfaces or light filtering through stained glass, as well as 20th century abstract art.

I am really interested in achieving an emotional and atmospheric resonance through pure abstraction and colour alone.
