'FOREST MOSSY WONDERLAND' is a photo of lichens and mosses on the forest floor of a forest in Sweden, captured in 2021.


The forest is one of my favorite places to be. It is even more than just a place; it is a vastly complicated world, each level of which is like a wonderland.

I adore traveling through the macro-lens of my camera to the forest's macro world. Its inhabitants have such an otherworldly look; at the same time, they are so cute and beautiful. Macro photography transports me to another world, into a fairytale.

My photos are printed and framed, and they are displayed throughout the house as windows to wonderland. And this wonderland is real, it is not a figment of my imagination, but the favourite place for the imagination to walk in.

📸 ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Etuvgi is a Sweden-based self-educated artist with aphantasia, which uses photography and digital art to visualize her feelings, concepts, and dreams.

Etuvgi's works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions internationally. In 2022, she became a finalist at the Arte Laguna Prize 16. In 2023, the artist was granted a stipend from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee.
