Summer is now beginning to take its hold. I spent the afternoon at Pentraeth Forest on Anglesey, North Wales. I walked about half a mile with the canvas in hand and my paints and tools in a bag.
On this beautiful day the colours were amazing. Spring has now faded into summer. The whole forest was alive with new life. Plants of all colours were blooming creating a beautiful blanket which was illuminated by the sun above
I decided on a spot and set out my paints. It was just me, the forest and the sound of birds singing. I remained there until the light was fading. I had covered the canvas in colours, forms and energy. I took back to my studio and this is what I created.
