This magical forest was painted in the village of Dorf an der Pram, Austria. Here I used the classical technique of absorbing the environment and painting it from memory in my village studio. This is the best technique for painter to understand the subject and process it through oneself to create a magical setting. I appreciate the feelings hidden between the foliage, under the mushrooms, and in the glow seeping through the horizon.
