December in the Knysna Forest, surrounded by pine trees. They were all lined up in tidy rows, stretching out of sight.
I was struck by the light in the branches and the deep, dark shadows at ground level.
The highlights and the lowlights. I loved being in amongst the trees, seeing the sunlight falling on their crowns, and the beauty of their elegant height.
