Original artwork description:

Force 6 is a direct response to sailing in the Western Isles of Scotland in the summer of 2012. Inspired by the contrast between still, calm, seas and menacing, swirling, unpredictable outbursts. I made the work on the yacht which is why it is small as I was limited by space and materials. Within in somewhere are fragments of the elements I am depicting, my internal voyage at that time and also a great deal of joy (and fear). These small pieces are in white, hand made and hand painted, contemporary style, wooden box frames. I can email a framed image on request.
