Artwork description:

This design is based on a simple sketch I made on a short walk from my house. I live in a little village in Suffolk which is surrounded by fields with footpaths running alongside them.

I liked the dramatic composition of my sketch and in developing the design for the linoprint I wanted to match the drama in my colour choices and dynamic cutting patterns.

All of my prints are original linocuts and are handmade by me. Because they are handmade, prints inevitably have minuscule differences...part of the charm of being made by a person and not a machine!

I use Lawrence oil-based relief printing inks and Hereford relief printing paper 145gsm. I use a BlueBoy printing press. There is more information about my studio and other work on my website.

Prints will be sent to you unframed, protected with cellophane in a re-enforced padded envelope on a Special Delivery service with the Post Office.
