Words and feelings.
Original impressionist watercolour on extra rough textured watercolour paper 425 gsm 200 lb Bockingford. I applied wet on wet washes for the sunset backdrop and then pressed the paint on the wet on wet background while it was we. I then kept pressing on the paint until I the colours of the trees had enough shape. I then used my sable hair brush to apply the same colour that I used in the trees for the hill. I used an etching technique for the grasses in the foreground while the paper is damp.
I spent a magical evening at Fonthill in West Wiltshire.
