A special place to walk,
Uplifting and beautiful,
Hidden and only seen once a year.

Original impressionist watercolour created recently for my YouTube channel showing how I painted this scene step by step for a watercolour demonstration.
I used thick watercolour paper 425 gsm 200lb bockingford extra rough textured.
Wet on wet washes were applied first then I gradually used different brushstroke techniques for the flower design artwork. I left the painting for over a week and then decided to go back to it to complete. I spent longer than I normally do on this flowerscape which I needed to leave it and keep looking at it before I do any more.
I fell in love with these hidden gardens not far from where I live in a magical woodland surrounding Fonthill abbey in Wiltshire.
