Original artwork description:

These two (9" x 12") panels are meant to express the two most important words ever spoken, "Follow Me," by Jesus as recorded in Matthew 4:19. These two words seem simple, but they are actually a life-changing invitation to be transformed and redeemed, to live a life of service and sacrifice based upon radical, self-giving love. There is nothing simple about authentically following Jesus. It is a call that challenges every believer to "deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Me," as expressed in the dynamic strokes and bold, passionate colors of this diptych. These 2 panels have an overall width of 18" x 12" high, are gallery-wrapped, and the image wraps around all eight sides, so that no frame is needed. Hanging hardware is already installed, and the panels have been given a satin varnish for protection.

Materials used:

acrylic, oil & very little oil pastel on canvas
