Original artwork description:

"Flying to the Moon" is an original mixed media painting. Starting with an archival photographic print on canvas, I added thick layers of texture and acrylic paint, to bring the nature of the different surfaces to life. The photo I took while exploring the hot springs area of Beppu, Japan, and is an overhead view of a bubbling pool of mud and volcanic rock. The painting is framed in a deep profile, black wooden frame, as pictured. This is a unique, one of a kind original.
