Original artwork description:

We usually only see a flash of blue when a kingfisher flies by, but this painting shows what we would see if it wasn't so fast. Kingfishers are beautiful birds and I especially
like the turquoise blue, which is an unusual colour for birds.
In this painting I have tried to capture the speed of the bird as it flies by.
The painting is done on a birch wood board, and I have not painted the sides to show the beauty of the wood.
