Original artwork description:

I was stunned when I watched my model perform this move, the power that was required before the leap. She squatted so low her knees almost touched the ground before springing high. It was an incredible feet of athleticism yet her face remained relaxed the entire time.
The final pose had a sense of freedom and energy which was irresistible to paint. To capture this I kept my brushstrokes loose and the painting process as energized as possible.
