Earlier this year, we travelled to Italy, and while wandering the beautiful streets of Varenna, Lake Como, we came across a group of children leaping from an old stone pier into the shimmering waters below. Their laughter echoed against the ancient stones, instantly transporting me back to the carefree days of my own childhood.

'Flying Free (Memories of Varenna)' is a tribute to the joy found in simple moments and the memories that shape us. It serves as a reminder to cherish our own fleeting flights of freedom and to seek out the beauty in spontaneity and play. This painting reflects not just a day in Italy, but a celebration of the adventurous spirit that resides within us all.
