Lightning storm II, 2018.
I found the theme of lightning in the dark soft cloudy sky challenging and exciting visually, especially using watercolour as a medium. The scene itself is as frightening as it is comforting, one has to surrender to the force and power of nature. I used Dr Hydrus Watercolour inks in combination with masking fluid to depict a lightning storm and dramatic contrast between the lighting and foggy, blurry, soft night sky.
