A painting yet again inspired by visits to the Angus Glens Scotland, particularly Glen Clova, which is next door to Glen Prosen. I always find the beautiful blues and lavender colours of the distant hills so gorgeous. Here they are playing a dominant role in the composition. Scotland is full of colour in August- from the cerise pinks of the rosebay willowherb flowers to the more acidic yellow of the ragwort. Weeds they may be but in their own landscape they form an inspiring tapestry of colour.
This acrylic painting is on a thin canvas panel and measures 14x10inches. It is sold unframed. Signed by artist in the bottom right corner.
