Original artwork description:

Terschelling is an island off the north sea coast of the Netherlands which is famous for its mudflats. The term mudflats really does not do justice to these huge expanses of silvery wet sand gleaming in the sun. I spent a few days there painting with a group of watercolourists from the Belgian watercolour institute and this is one of the works that were inspired during that creative workshop. With my artist friend José, I set off from our hotel in the dunes and found this spot to paint the vegetation in the sand and the blue water beyond. The poles sticking out of the water mark mussel banks where that favourite delicacy in seafood restaurants is cultivated.

This unique artwork is sold mounted and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
