A view of Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh. The path leads upwards, towards the noise and business of the street. Yet the gardens are peaceful and quiet. Lavender abounds, bordering the shadows, teeming with insects. The city is warm, summery, a delight. We can just about see the roofs of the shops, a passing bus. A painting that is full of live and full of colour. Texture has been added to give extra depth. The canvas frame is 0.5 inches thick and can hang without being framed. A great souvenir of Edinburgh.
