I like the slight aroma of chrysanthemums. They smell a bit bitter and can remind you of sagebrush. Maybe that’s why I’m so fond of chrysanthemums. More than others, I prefer yellow ones.

They are kind of my replacement for the lack of sunlight in winter.
But that time, I had white chrysanthemums which my beloved husband had given me.
And that day, we had a reason for drinking a glass of light wine. And while I had the chance, I composed a romantic still-life.

Most of all, I liked working on the effects of light. This arrangement is illuminated from two sides. The first source of light is somewhere behind, and candles make the other one. We can see them just in front of us. These sources set very warm and soft light. And give slightly pinkish overtones on wine glasses and white flowers.

And when you look at this painting, something pleasant and positive comes to your mind.
A lovely evening with your beloved. Flowers, candles, light wine in glasses, and that book you wanted to read but laid it open. Because spending time with your sweetheart at that moment is more important and much attractive. Well, as they say, there’s time for everything.

I hope my painting will bring you true joy. This flower painting is the best present a woman could wish for. These white chrysanthemums will never wilt.

Note: To send the canvas, I remove it from the frame and tuck it into the tube. Upon receiving the painting, you have to take it to the local framing master to stretch the canvas onto the frame again.
