This is a very special and experimental piece of art: when I am painting, I often put primed felt board under my easel to catch the fluid dropping paint in my painting process. Then I decide later to overwork these felt boards to lovely new artworks. In this case the spots of color reminded me of a bunch of lovely loose flowers, so I constructed the vase and the calligraphy around it. It is a very special piece for a much lower price than this size of my paintings usually is!

The painting needs to be framed for stability by a professional framer, but needs no glass as it is varnished acrylics and graphite, so needs no extra protection like acrylics on canvas. There are many interesting ways to frame it floating or fixed (see examples), it can also be cut to size.

The painting will come unframed, signed and dated on the front and back.
Some scratches and cuts on the felt board (see detail photos), these are part of the painting process and so are also an important part of the artwork.

ATTENTION: I show some simple framing options just to give you an idea what the painting could look like framed and at the wall. A white, silver, black or grey frame would look great, the best will be to take it to the framers and discuss the size of mat and frame. If you need any advice on this, feel free to contact me!
