Flowering Colour is the latest of my series of Colour Circle oil paintings. Here I experimented with patches of colours radiating outwards in a formal composition. I used a clean, white background to contrast with the bright colours. A rich quality finish is assured with three layers of oil pigments and time to dry between each layer. The painting is now fully dry.

Inspiration for this work came from the beauty of colours in nature. My goal is to make colours sing in dynamic harmony.
