I painted this to remember one of my many trips to Columbia Road Flower Market in East London. As an artist and a gardener it is THE place to go to see so much colour....life.......plants....flowers....people.....food....Its simply amazing.
I went recently with my son and his girlfriend. We limited ourselves to buying a house plant with huge glossy leaves (must find out the proper name) which has been lovingly fed and watered and has already doubled in size.
The painting is colourful and vibrant and is painted in an impressionistic style with large brush strokes to capture a feeling of sunlight and the hustle and bustle of the street.
It is painted in acrylic and includes some collage.
I will ship it anywhere for free rolled in a tube.
