Original artwork description:

A delicate and intricate painting inspired by the beauty of little flower heads popping up here and there in my garden.

I enjoyed building this painting over many layers, integrating dyed, fine paper and including more detailed mark making in this piece. I mixed my own hues of white, pink and ultramarine using artist pigments. Oil bar strokes and pencil lines add movement to the work.

The canvas has been painted around the edges in a complementary colour. Hooks and cord are attached at the back – the painting is ready for hanging.

The painting comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
