The diptych is composed in two canvases, each depicting a different aspect of the peony flowers. A cluster of buds with their delicate petals beginning to unfurl. The white is delicate and almost translucent, while rosy hue adds a subtle warmth to the painting. The turquoise accents in the shadows add a modern touch to the composition, creating an interesting contrast with the lighter petals of the peony.

This artwork is made with oil on cotton canvas, coated with varnish for bright colors and clear permanent protection for years.
Canvas wrapped around the wooden frame, painted around the edges to compliment the artwork & doesn't need framing.
