This was the first of my large works in this abstract landscape series. For me it was the also first step of an exploration. I wasn't going to put it up for sale, but I've had it on the wall for a while, and it grew on me. There may be someone out there who falls in love with this painting, and I want them to find it. The white border has some inadvertent paint on it, so I have shown it as if trimmed and fitted to a custom frame, or framed with a mount (plain white in this case). This is reflected in the price.

When I'm painting these landscape-like works, I keep the feeling of being outdoors very much in my mind and body, and try to let my arm movements reflect that experience.
I love the sun and the rain, the hills and the scale of the sky, and the deeper silence that seems to fill the sky, beyond the sounds we usually notice.

The size of the painting in the room setting is only approximate. Please refer to the accurate measurements below. The painting is on very thick watercolour paper. Even so, it is not completely flat. Your framer will advise you on an appropriate method of framing.

The painting will be sent rolled gently in a strong box, with plenty of padding.
