This is a painting based on surely one of the most beautiful views in Italy if not the world. Florence from Michelangelo Square. I have been here twice and have been meaning to create a painting based on the view for some time. It is totally new and fresh having been painted this year.
The colours in the heat of Summer take on a warm glow and the Duomo in the distance has purple tones in its shadows.
The painting is mixed media - mainly acrylic but including collage, inks and oil pastel.
It is a large piece which will have impact in a room bringing colour and life. It is supplied rolled.
