I love painting and am obsessed with painting portraits. This piece shows a theme that I enjoy portraying, a woman who is introspective and resilient. She gazes at the viewer with candor and an open countenance.
To create this piece I used colorful bold brushstrokes of opaque and transparent layers of acrylic paint. I like to portray skin tones in a unique variety of colors and to let those brush strokes breathe life and vigor into the work.
Colors: Orange/bronze/copper, turquoise, green, black, grays, soft purple, blue, beige, yellow
20 inches x 20 inch gallery wrapped canvas is 1.5 inches deep and is painted on all sides - READY TO HANG or frame in deep floating frame
