Original artwork description:

For Flora III I used the colour palette of baroque era religious portraits combined with dramatic lighting to portray a sense of pathos as well as an overall effect of softness achieved by the palette which is primarily composed of earth pigments.
Flora III is painted on linen which can be seen coming through in some parts of the painting. The sides of the canvas are gilded for hanging without framing.
