Original artwork description:

I have created over 30 linocut printing blocks of individual plants and animals and used them to try and replicate the layered nature of the hedgerow.

The images are each made from a unique combination of these linocut blocks inked up and printed.

Each is quite different from the others, the choice of blocks used, the positioning and the colours of the ink make each monoprint a unique creation.


Printed onto black card 270gsm (recycled card) , Cranfield gold ink (oil based).

Paper sized : 42 cm x 59.4 cm

My linocuts are handmade from start to finish, hand carved, rolled and handprinted, as in the nature of linoprints and the handmade process they may have small variations. This I feel is part of the charm of printmaking and makes each print into both a unique artwork.
