I do not paint portraits, but I create a reason to doubt the usual interpretation, the Lacanian Real. I discard traditional aesthetic gradations, creating a painting-object with which the viewer independently comes into visual contact.
I am interested in painting as an aesthetic experience that opens up the possibility of recording a state of loss, impermanence. In my works, an active background, a pause or emptiness are full-fledged elements of the pictorial language. What within the picture is reality and what is a dream? In fact, no final conclusion is in sight. With each new encounter with a painting, you will have to redefine: what really is the object of the image?
The work is made using the author's technique on premium quality linen canvas. The ends are a continuation of the picture.
