This is the view from the top of the Empire State Building in New York looking towards the Financial District with the Flatiron Building at the corner of Broadway and Fifth Avenue near the centre of the picture. I chose to paint it this time in a very bold and graphic way, juxtaposing almost abstract areas of cold blue buildings with the warm and vibrant life on the main streets below.
