Acrylic on stretched paper.

This was an experiment in creating a super flat matte abstract using masking tape and a roller. The colours are subtle and muted, but work well together. The painting was made on stretched paper so that the paper has stayed really flat. There is a rim of gummed tape around the edge of the painting that I have not trimmed off as it may be useful when framing the work. The dimensions are for the actual painting and do not include the tape around the edges.

I wasn't so sure about this painting, but then when I saw it in those digital installation images I thought it looked amazing. I guess I never think about a painting in it's final position.

Signed on the back, shipped in a tube.
