Artwork description:

Noise is an unwanted sound, and we are surrounded by it. It’s getting louder, and harder to escape. It’s overwhelming. To escape, I head to a local lake. It doesn’t take long for the noise of modern life to be replaced with the gentle sound of water lapping against the shore. Everything slows down and time drifts by.

'Under the Canopy' is one of a series of minimalist images made at the local lake where I escape the noise of everyday life. The final minimalist images aim to be calm and meditative.

I print on 100% cotton 325gsm fine art paper, which has a beautiful 'unglazed' gloss paper that thoughtfully complements the photograph.
