Original artwork description:

This is a mixed media painting in acrylic paint and collage. The collage elements used come from a vast collection of original monoprints, other printed material, newspapers and sometimes textile fragments. I make the monoprints in batches without any idea of what they may be used for. For this work I started with an acrylic background and then selected the collage materials I wanted to use, which were cut or torn in a random or pre-defined way and reassembled to form the image. The inspiration came from walks along the north east coast of Norfolk where I live. This painting is supplied in a white mount ready for framing.
