An en plein air acrylic painting of a fishing boat on Hastings town beach. As a organiser of London Sketchers from Facebook I regularly paint at places around the SE England and London in groups. Here we had a showery day in which to enjoy creating a classic view of a fishing boat on the beach. I like to sketch in paint in a loose style which, I think, creates a freshness and bold use of colour. These boats are iconic to Hastings and are a deminishing fleet so well worth capturing on a dramatic day.
